I love The Go-Go's. The 1980s girl group started out as a punk band, but their best-known hits are glorious power-pop all the way. My favourite tracks include Vacation, Speeding, Cool Jerk, Surfing and Spying, Our Lips Are Sealed and We Got the Beat.
Their outfits are pretty tragic, and the songs are pretty cheeseball, but I love them anyway. But the best thing about the band is that it gave Belinda Carlisle - yes, THAT Belinda Carlisle, who sang one of my favourite ever tragic songs Heaven is a Place on Earth - her musical start.
