I am completely obsessed with the following: Manchester, Factory Records, post-punk, etcetera. I own many, many books about this period in musical history, I listen to the records incessantly, I fantasise about Ian Curtis, like, heaps. And from a design perspective, I pretty much idolise Peter Saville for his beautiful graphics and groundbreaking (heavy shit) art direction. It’s really cool. So, watch Control and 24 Hour Party People, listen to New Order, Joy Division, Gang of Four and (yes I know they are not from Manchester), Television, and grab this book, which brings together all the best cover art form the seminal label. And, best of all, here is a (very low key) "interview":
"Some people think it's fascist...Some people think it's gloomy and grey...Some people think it's...really stylish..."
