Before I gave in and bought a car, I rode scooters. Despite being impractical in New Zealand's temperamental weather, and terrible for helmet hair, I loved mine to bits. So much so that I named them - the first was called Audrey (french blue, cute, but someone stole it from outside my house), and then Edie (baby blue, even cuter, crashed her - oops). There's nothing better than a scooter - they're cute, you can park them wherever, and you spend about $5 on petrol a week. I want one again!
