I've been called a princess a few times in my lifetime. I think it's because of my aloofness, and the fact that I like to wear pretty dresses. I also quite like shiny things, like diamonds and crowns. But not in a gross prom/beauty queen kind of way. I'm thinking of the crown jewels of the likes of The Princess Bride, Princess Diana (who looks creepily like my mum), and The Empress' jewel headpiece in The Neverending Story. I also love the crowns that Kate Sylvester made for her spring/summer campaign shots - I think she said she used pieces from a picture frame to make them. Her range is called Royally Screwed, and is inspired by naughty royals.One of my favourite Lula shoots, shot by Ellen Von Unwerth, is called Crown of Love and features a lovely crown of flowers. And I love the Arcade Fire song of the same name: "The crown of love has fallen from me."
