frames

Dorothy Parker famously remarked that "Boys don't make passes at girls who wear glasses". Surely, however, that's outdated. I mean, just look at Daisy Lowe in the new Marc by Marc Jacobs campaigns below.

I have to confess that I have terrible eyesight. I'm useless without my contact lenses - can't drive, don't recognise friends across the street. I can't wait 'til I turn 25 - I've got laser surgery on lockdown, but until then, I'm in the market for a new pair of specs. I'm petrified of buying 'fashion frames'- you know, the one that every posing hipster worth their salt has a pair of, but I think I'm going to have to bite the bullet and purchase something (I might have stood on mine over the weekend). Looking for inspiration I found...

fashion frames! argh! why wasnt being so blind desirable back when i was 12 and being - imaginatively - called 'four eyes'..?!

recently, i wanted to hook some terry richardson esque ones... a taxi driver was wearing them and fell in love. but i would get bottlecap eyes from them, apparently, so i settled for some "old man" frames. as the awful lady at the optomertrist told me. they are so pooh pooh in right now. bleuck
