Zoe and I are both a little obsessive about our magazines. I only buy a certain few, but of those I have every single issue, neatly ordered. The best present anyone could ever give me would probably be to complete my set of Lula magazines (I'm missing Issue 1 and 3, if anyone's interested). I religiously buy UK and French Vogue, Purple, the aforementioned Lula, Russh and No. That's all, no more and no less. Actually, I'm lying. I have a few sporadically purchased orphans- Wallpaper, Vice, Acne. Um, and British Elle, Doingbird, Dazed and Confused, SummerWinter. And I have every Nylon since day dot, but I had to stop buying it once they put Paris Hilton on the cover and featuring the vapid, talentless hipster Cory Kennedy in every issue.
So, in a very roundabout way, the point of all this is to say... How exciting is it that Katie Grand, the clever, wonderful woman behind POP magazine is bringing us Love. Love magazine is a twice-yearly fashion magazine that can't be anything but awesome. First issue is out February 2009, and I can't wait to start collecting it. Cause now that she's not the Creative Director at Mulberry...
There's a great profile on Katie Grand-a-Minute at The Guardian.
Here are some more of her shoots for Pop- some of them remind me of Egon Schiele...
