I love Miu Miu campaigns. Not sure why; maybe I'm just a sucker for a good celebrity model? From Kim Basinger to Selma Blair and Kirsten Dunst, Miuccia Prada certainly knows how to pick 'em. There's none of that 'ironic' bullshit that Marc Jacobs seems to be fixated on (Victoria Beckham? Dakota Fanning? The faux-lesbians from Tatu?!). Although admittedly, Lindsay Lohan wasn't Prada's greatest choice...
In recent years the ads have generally featured celebrities, shot by my favourite photography duo Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott and featuring their signature hyper-perfectionism. But some of the older campaigns featuring models are just as amazing, it not more: Jessica Stam in black and white, Angela Lindvall looking sombre and intellectual and Ludivine Sagnier cuddling a bunny.
