My style can sometimes veer dangerously into "paedo-chic" territory. I'm just instinctively drawn to baby doll dresses, bows, pigtails, lace, pastels, full-skirts, long hair with a fringe, schoolgirl blazers, Mary Jane shoes... It's kind of gross. It's that whole Lolita influence (which Natalie wrote about here). Sometimes I want to throw out all the girlish things I own and start wearing black skinny jeans, oversized T-shirts, grungy plaid, denim cut-offs and tight dresses. Sort of like when Baby Spice came out and said, "I don't want to be a cutie, I want to be a hot sexy bitch". But then I see a Peter Pan collar, and it's back to being a cutie. They're so babyish, so sickeningly sweet and innocent. And I love them.
