I love the colour pink. Too often it's looked upon as being girly and saccharine; the colour for ditzy girls like Legally Blonde's Elle Woods, Barbie and Paris Hilton. There's also a childish quality to it: little girls seem to gravitate towards all things fuschia, from Barbie's pink camp-a-van to My Little Pony. But when it's done right, I think it looks feminine, quirky and powerful. It just so happens that most of my favourite things are pink: cherry blossoms, peonies, pink lipstick, pink dresses by Luella, my pink phone, pink food. From hot pink to pastel pink and all shades in between, it may not be the hippest of colours but long live the girly hue.
