These are my favourite new discoveries for summer music:
Fabrizio Moretti's side-project Little Joy. So cute. So summery.
Coeur de Pirate. Sweet French Canadian pop gems. Like the Amelie soundtrack should have been, without the annoying aspect.
Jay Jay Pistolet. He reminds me of M. Ward, Bon Iver et al. Beautiful, melancholy folk.
This song is great too- "I thought you were the moon in the sky, but it turns out you were just a street light," he sings. Here.

This is the cutest mix ever - Zoe you'll adore it, and I wish you were here to dance with me to it.
And when it gets a little later...you could try this Hoops mashup of hiphop and dancehall.
This summer is so full of good concerts and festivals it's ridiculous: we'll be seeing Santogold, Ladyhawke, The Mystery Jets and Late of the Pier, as well as Holy Fuck, Lykke Li (yay!), Girltalk, Born Ruffians, Sterolab, the Hold Steady...can you sense my excitement?
