Oh god. I just read this post about the return of the scrunchie. American Apparel are selling them, an Olsen was spotted sporting one...must be a trend.
Now, I love ugly scenester trends as much as the next person (well, maybe more and also maybe that should stop because I am almost 25), but this takes the cake. I do have to admit that last time I was in New Zealand I may have purchased a black velvet one from somewhere, but as Carrie Bradshaw once said, "The only time you'll catch a woman wearing a scrunchie is when she's washing her face". I personally prefer a headband that came with my bottle of Marc Jacobs Daisy. I think they can look cool on a high bun, but I also have no qualms about admitting that I like Tom Petty and Roxette so perhaps my 'taste' is questionable.
