get a room

I love this image from the new Marc by Marc Jacobs campaign. It makes me think of a teenage girl hanging out and being angsty in her bedroom - and of my own bedrooms growing up. When I was about seven, I had a room with two bright yellow walls and two purple, and my bookshelf and dressing table were painted red with multi-coloured paint splatters (clearly I had a thing for colour). Then I moved house, grew up, became interested in boys and started putting hideous posters of celebrities all over my boring white walls.
I find it quite fascinating how young girls are so protective of their bedrooms, although it's not hard to see why. It's like their own special, secret place where they can hide away from the world (and parents). What was your childhood or teenage bedroom like?
