It took me long enough, but I finally watched Picnic at Hanging Rock - a movie otherwise known as the film that every single female blogger with a penchant for whimsy, Lover and Lula magazine adores. So yes, I too adored it. Much fuss has been made over the romantic white Victorian gowns, but there's so much more to it than that! The blue classroom shirting, the rounded collars, the tousled long hair, Mademoiselle de Portiers' flower embellished hat, Irma's red cape - I want it all. Next on my cliched movies to watch list? The Umbrellas of Cherbourg.
