cloudy bay
From beautiful Sophie's photoblog.
You know I've waited for so long
Glad I'm on two feet
Walking on the clouds
You know I wanted to show you how
You and me can be
Glad I'm on two feet
Walking on the clouds
You know I wanted to show you how
You and me can be

love all
Even though it's heading into winter, my days are getting brightened by summery lookbooks. Here are some more pictures from the Lonely Hearts lookbook for S/S 10/11. The collection, Love All, draws from disparate influences - tennis-style pieces, all pleated and pastels, alongside leather - a kinda good girl gone bad feel - it's what the label does best!
I really like the preppy dresses, the longer lengths, the pastels, the plaids, the prints (which are inspired by the animal drawings of Alan Aldridge and Jan Svankmajer's 1988 surrealist film Alice) and the embroidery on the pockets which were created by illustrator Kelly Thompson - they're like naughty Lacoste/school blazer crests. We're also liking the shots, which were styled by ex-Russh editor and our lovely and talented friend Natalie Shukur, and shot by Rene Vaile.

the message is the medium
Lisa Rovner and Alice Heart's project, "Message is the Medium," is composed of beautifully blended fragments from Godard films, Guy Bordin film clips, or elegant vintage footage with brands such as Agnes B., the New York Times' Style Magazine, Chanel's Coco Mademoiselle Perfume, and other high-end labels. The results represent the associations between the disparate images and the timeless essences of the labels better than many of their own contemporary ad campaigns. But is that art, or artistic advertising? Rovner and Heart were not commissioned to create the videos. So are they really just well-crafted valentines to the labels that they love?

let them eat cake
This is the best. It's just a 20 minute video of a girl eating an entire cake, wearing an AF VANDEVORST dress. More fashion videos should be so simple. And the cake looks really, really good. You can watch it in its entirety here. Careful - it'll make you very hungry.

I would really like a dog, preferably one like this little thing.
Zoe and I are obsessed with Peanut Butter Cups - I found a recipe for cupcakes here.
I'm on the hunt for the perfect peach nailpolish - any tips?
