grown up shoes

It seems like it's about time to buy some grown-up lady shoes.
Aren't they beautiful?

benah

The lovely Brenda of Sydney-based accessories label The Benah sent me through the lookbook for her new range of bags and scarves, LIVING LIGHT. It's a delight - all cool, natural tones - canvas and leathers, silks and cottons. I'm particularly fond of the little Lucian Mini Satchel in fawn and tan, aren't you? I'm going to enlist Brenda to do a top ten for So Much To Tell You soon...

kate is great

I really like this pretty pink dress from Kate Sylvester's S/S '11 collection.

Here are some articles that I have read and enjoyed recently.

This profile on "spoken-word Twitter feed" Joan Rivers - I can't wait to see the documentary about her at the NZ Film Festival.

Lauryn Hill on why she quit music - and hints at making a comeback!

Celebrity wankers at Glastonbury. I keep reading the ending to this story over and over again as it is so subtly brutal and brilliant.

"Back down in the backstage Winnebago area, a group of three well-coiffed, well-waxed men and their almost as impeccably groomed girlfriends are just finishing their drinks. "I can't believe Kate Hudson has brought two bodyguards here with her," says one of the men, with a mocking shake of his head. "I know - I think she can get through a crowd without being harassed," sneers his girlfriend. The group tut and contentedly finish their drinks behind the barricades, laughing at the idiocies of others."

posh girls

They're everywhere already but I just have to re-post these beautiful new Louis Vuitton campaign shots. Three of my favourites - Christy Turlington, Natalia Vodianova and Karen Elson - looking like old-school movie stars; elegant, regal and in posh in full skirts and ponytails. Louis Vuitton usually represents everything that I don't like about fashion - flashy, logos, fake, buying something just because of the name - but I adore this campaign and collection.
